Code of conduct for suppliers

Feinhütte Halsbrücke GmbH (FHH) commits itself to the highest standards regarding quality and business integrity in dealing with its suppliers. Therefore, FHH requires secure working conditions in the supplier base, treating workers with respect and dignity, environmentally friendly manufacturing processes and taking social responsibility seriously and dealing with it professionally. FHH expects its suppliers to respect this code of conduct, to keep to the following standards and regulations and to realise them in their companies. Furthermore, FHH expects all related companies to keep and accept all principles and conditions described in this code of conduct. Any breach of the points set out here is seen as a substantial impairment of the supplier. We reserve the right of requiring information at any suspicion of nonconformity. Furthermore, the FHH is entitled to cancel single or all contractual relationships with suppliers that do not fulfil this code or that do not strive for and realise any improvements without notice.

Working conditions

The employment law and the resulting conventions have to be observed. Nobody may be harassed or excluded particularly because of their race, ethnic origin, gender, religion or ideology, their disability, age or sexual identity. FHH requires its suppliers to obey the relevant applicable national legislation regarding working time, health protection, work safety and payment.

Environmental protection

FHH requires the observance of the relevant applicable national environmental laws, regulations and standards. The running of any notifiable machinery has to be approved officially. Approved limits, conditions and requirements have to be observed. Substances harmful to the environment and health must not be emitted into the atmosphere, waters or soil.

Child labour and forced labour

FHH requires from its suppliers to refrain from all kinds of child labour or forced labour in their company. The same applies to all related companies. 

Prohibition of corruption and bribery

FHH requires its suppliers to prevent all kinds of corruption and bribery. lt is to assure that the observance of the convention of the United Nations and the organisation for economic cooperation and development (OECD) is observed.

lnvitations and presents

FHH requires its suppliers not to misuse invitations and presents for the influencing others. lnvitations and presents to employees and persons related to them will only be allowed for appropriate occasions or amounts. That means invitations and presents are allowed if they are insignificant and only seen as an expression of generally accepted business practise.

Avoidance of any conflicts of interests

FHH requires its suppliers to make decisions related on business and contract with FHH based on objective criteria only. Conflicts of interests related to private demands, variant economic or other activities, also those of relatives or other closed persons or organisations, have to be avoided or forbidden.

Free competition

FHH requires its suppliers to behave fair in competition to other companies and to obey the cartel laws. Suppliers are neither allowed to participate in antitrust agreements with competitors nor to misuse their probable market dominating position.

Money laundering

FHH requires its suppliers to observe the relevant legitimate commitments for the prevention of money laundering and not to be engaged in any activities of money laundering.

Conflict minerals

FHH takes its social and ecological responsibility very seriously and gets involved in the adherence of a socially and ecologically responsible supply chain and do not obtain any resources or materials from conflict-affected and FHH do not obtain any resources or materials from conflict-affected and high-risk areas (please see "Sourcing Po/icy for conflict materials and conflict countries ").
