Alcohol and water-based fluxes, also called hybrid fluxes, were developed for use in wave and selective soldering. These fluxes have a very wide range of applications, with very good soldering properties, especially when penetrating and wetting the PCB. The process window is very wide, with a high thermal stability. The printed circuit boards are optically very clean after using the flux.
